Today is a special day for two reasons:
1) I have officially gone an entire week, including a full weekend, without any sweets. No cookies, ice cream, or chocolate. Nothing. I have worked out everyday, sometimes twice a day and lost 2.6 pounds!! I am sooo thrilled with myself!! :)
2) Tomorrow is the week count down for one week till I leave to go home for thanksgiving break. I am even more excited about that :)
Today was kind of a blah day to be honest. I quoted 1Peter 1:13 many times. "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober (disciplined), and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." This sums up my whole life. Getting control of my thoughts, being disciplined in devotions and exercise, and hoping in Jesus when I just don't want to go to class or face a situation.
I had an Old Testament History test this morning. I scored a 77%. I knew I did horrible. I guess I mis understood and didn't study the right things. Oh well, my average is still an 82 so I'm ok for now. I just can't score any lower than that next time. I then came back to my room and skipped chapel and West Civ to sleep for 2 hrs. I just didn't feel like facing life. I am so exhausted that I crave my bed all the time hahaha. At 1pm I went and practiced piano then had an hour and a half lesson at 4pm. Dr Kauffman, my professor, kept me a half hour long lecturing me on these exercises I need to do. I told him how I get so tense in my arm that I can't move it enough to even practice. So that cuts my practice time short which in turn makes my lesson bad. So he's given me all the technical things to do which are SOOOO tedious I think i'm going to shoot myself in the face! He also gave me 3 new songs to work on so it was a little bit of an over load. But I quote 1 Peter and take it with a grain of salt and I will be fine :)
I finally sat down to write an English paper I have been procrastinating on and after i was done, I realized how much I like to write. The initial part of sitting down to start is painful just like starting anything in life, but once I'm in the mood my thoughts just flow and I love the outcome. I thought that was interesting.
I then went and worked out with Becky. Did 30mins on the Elliptical and 30mins lifting weights. It was really crowded in the weight room tonight with a bunch of guys blaring Christian rap music (what an oxi moron lol). I was a little intimidated especially since the guy who is stalking me was in there, but I sucked it up and did my routine. My english teacher also walked in while I was working out. You wouldn't understand how awkward that was unless you've been in my class. He's a young good looking 27 yrs old guy who is tall and lanky with curly hair. Quite cute I will admit, but just so awkward. It was the last person I had expected to come walking in there. He was still in his class dress I might add. Oh goodness...lol
I'm going to the informative RA meeting at tenpm then hitting the hay only to get up and do the same thing tomorrow. Except I have class from 10am-5pm straight. What a long day. But God will help me through, I know He will.
Goodnight!
