End of Semester 1

2 more days and my first semester at college is over. Can you believe it?? i still can't even believe I'm in college. Of course, right as it ends I'm just starting to meet more new ppl that I enjoy hanging out with, but its ok...always got next semester for the ones who are coming back.

This past weekend my parents surprised me and came down to see my Christmas concert. It was the best thing ever. I was actually excited about accompanying the choir and no one was going to be there to watch me. But little did I know that my family escaped our annual trip to Maine and came the total opposite direction to watch me. it was great :) The concert went really really well. We had on Friday night and twice on Saturday. On Saturday night, the crowd wanted an encore and chose the one I played for. it was so much fun :)They spent the night at a hotel and were able to come to my church that I attend. My mom even made buckeyes for all my friends and brought them with her so I could pass them out! How cool is that?

Anyway, this week is finals week. I had three major ones today. Two tomorrow and one wednesday. Adam is leaving wed night at 10pm and driving through the night to pick me up so we can go home for break. He'll be here around 5am. That will be an exciting trip lol

I've had the quite the adventure meeting new boys recently in the weight room. 2 of the 5 have girlfriends back home but for some reason they're the ones who pay the most attention to me. i do not understand that. I've been able to play a pick up game of basketball in the gym with some of them which has been really good for me to get out and "spread my wings." I've really kept to myself this semester.

The thing I'm most looking forward to when I get home besides forcing myself to relax...seeing CHERITH HUNT!!!!! YAY!!! I'm so excited to get to talk to her in person again. Being in the states at leasts makes a difference over breaks :)

Thanksgiving

Today is day 2 back at school after Thanksgiving break. Break was great. I keep telling people that is wasn't very restful, but I didn't party that hard either. I wasn't supposed to go home until Tuesday, but the girl I drive with got sick and needed to go home early. Of course I didn't object :) So we left Friday and had until the following Monday off. It was wonderful! That Tuesday one of my friends from school, Jess, came up and spent thanksgiving with us. She is a missionary kid from Japan that didn't have anywhere to go so she came and spent 5days with my family. Needless to say that after about 3 hrs i already had her blessing and she now understands me ALOT better. it's fun to have people observe your real life.

We watched aton of movies, stayed up late eating ice cream, jammed on the piano and guitar, and learned how to break dance and salsa. haha it was so much fun. Jess met alot of my friends too which was cool, at least to me. She seemed really at home, even staying there with my famil while I spent some time with my friend Jocelyn.

We attempted to highlight my hair, but the lighter I watched it get the more creeped out i got and I screamed for her to take it out haha. Of course, it didn't sink in long enough and you can't see it. So next time we'll leave it in longer :)

We left Monday morning at 9:30 and got back to school by 3:30pm. Classe started the nex day of which 2 of my 4 got cancelled. It was a glourious day!! Today, wednesday, was good too. Dezra and I practiced our duet for our Christmas concert next weekend. IT IS SO STINKING FUN!!! Dr Kauffman was really impressed too.

I've decided that with the last 2 weeks of te semester I need to "party it up" as hannah calls it. So instead of taking a nap, my roomate and I moved our room around and hung our christmas lights. It looks so cute in here :)Last night I was up till midnight celebrating with the 5 engaged girls in my dorm. Tongight I'm going to another RA meeting.

I got my schedule for next semester today. I AM SO EXCITED!! Monday, wed, and fri, I have class every hour from 8am to 1pm. which is actually alot. But Tuesdays and Thursdays I only have choir at 2:30-4 which means I can get a job those mornings and take a counseling night class on Tuesdays. I am really excited!

Other than that nothing else is really new. I had 2 guys come introduce themselves to Becky and I the other night while we were working out. And a different one just messaged me on facebook asking me to let him know if I need a running partner haha. I almost peed my pants.

I think I'm gonna take a nap b4 my meeting :) bye!
